Step 3:
Make payment at Medijaya, Swab and Go!

After payment, you may proceed for your swab. You will not be required to wait for your results as the results will automatically upload to MySejatera app within 30 minutes.

AtLevel 1 KLIA, take the KLIA transit train to gateway@klia2 toget to Medijaya@klia2. The ticket fee is only RM 2 and thejourney takes about 3 minutes.

What if I’ve not managed to register for both forms as stated on No 3 upon my arrival but I wish to do the Covid-19 Antigen test in Medijaya gateway@klia2?

No worries, you may still walk-in to Medijaya and our Customer Service will assist you on this.

Should I make any booking appointments for the Covid-19 test?

You can make an online booking for Covid-19 test at Medijaya here or you can just walk-in to Medijaya.

What is the procedure of Covid-19 Test?

For the Rapid Antigen test, we will take nasopharyngeal (nasal) swab. As for the RT-PCR test, we will take oro-nasopharyngeal (oral and nasal)swab.

How will the results be notified to me?

We will notify you through email and WhatsApp (if requested).

Will I receive a copy of Covid-19 test results?

Yes, you will receive a softcopy of your Covid-19 test result through email. We can also provide a hardcopy of your result if requested.

How long will it take for the Rapid Antigen test and RT-PCR result to be ready?

Rapid Antigen Test: Within 30 minutes after swabbing procedure. RT-PCR Test: Within 24 hours after swabbing procedure.

When should the travellers come in to do the RT-PCR test if they need an earlier result?

If the travelers come before 2.00 pm, the result will be ready on the same day before 10.00 pm. However, if the travelers come after 2.00pm, the result will be ready on the next morning at 9.00 am.

What happens if my result of Covid-19 Test is positive?

MySejahtera app will reflect the positive result and you shall receive a quarantine order. Please quarantine yourself according to the duration as stated in the quarantine order. You may refer to Malaysia’s MoH Covid-19 positive protocol here.

COVID-19 Testing and Quarantine
(effective 1 April 2022)

Malaysia welcomes the reopening of its borders as the nation is transitioning to the endemic phase of COVID-19. Travellers to Malaysia must fulfil the following General Protocols by the Malaysian authorities:

1. Before departure to Malaysia

a. Download and update the MySejahtera app within a week before departing for Malaysia.  

b. Travellers may refer here for Guidelines to Install and Register MySejahtera.

c. Complete the pre-departure form via the “Traveller” icon.

  • Travellers with overseas-issued COVID-19 vaccine certificates must verify their digital COVID-19 vaccine certificates on mysafetravel.gov.my
  • Foreign travellers are required to purchase COVID-19 medical insurance with minimum value of USD 20,000.
  • Fully vaccinated travellers will be issued a “Digital Traveller’s Card” and it will be reflected on their MySejahtera app.
  • Partially or unvaccinated travellers will be issued a digital Home Surveillance Order (HSO) and it will be reflected on their MySejahtera app.
  • Travellers who do not have a traveller card display or HSO instructions on MySejahtera app are not allowed to continue their journey.

d. Travellers aged seven (7) years and above must take RT-PCR test two days before departure to Malaysia and upload the results on MySejahtera. Exceptions are given to travellers aged six (6) years and below (based on year of birth).

e. Post COVID-19 patient with infection between 6 to 60 days before departure must undergo a professional RTK-Antigen test 2 days before departure.

2. Within 24 hours upon arrival in Malaysia:

a. Passengers aged seven (7) years and above are required to take a professionally administered RTK-Antigen test either at a private health facility or clinics approved by MOH' s in the within 24 hours.

b. The RTK-Ag test results will be displayed in MySejahtera.
(Note: International passengers transiting in KLIA to Sabah and Sarawak must  undergo COVID-19 RTK-Ag test in KLIA.)

Exit Requirements

a. Travellers are to refer to destination country travel rules and Official Portal of Immigration Department of Malaysia to understand the specific requirements (such as COVID-19 testing or quarantine measures) as these may differ according to each country’s own risk assessments

b. Passengers are advised to download and update their MySejahtera app. Only those with MySJ ‘low risk’ status in the profile will be allowed to continue their journey.

c. Unvaccinated travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents or guardians.

d. Travellers who have recovered from COVID-19 can travel provided they provide a negative COVID-19 test result.
